I was born in Santiago, Chile, in 1985. My parents were both poor, and they couldn't afford to keep me. So, when I was just a few months old, they brought me to an orphanage.

The orphanage was a big, old building in the center of the city. It was home to about 100 children, ranging in age from infants to teenagers. I lived there for the first 12 years of my life.

Life at the orphanage was hard. We were always poor, and we often didn't have enough food to eat. We were also often sick, and there was never enough medicine to go around. But despite all of these challenges, I also learned a lot of valuable life lessons at the orphanage.

One of the most important things I learned was the importance of family. I may not have had a traditional family, but I had the other children at the orphanage. We were all there for each other, and we always looked out for each other.

I also learned the importance of education. Even though the orphanage was poor, we still had access to a good education. I went to school every day, and I learned a lot. I am so grateful for the education I received at the orphanage, because it has helped me to succeed in life.

Finally, I learned the importance of hope. Even though life at the orphanage was often difficult, I never gave up hope. I always believed that my life would get better, and it did. I am now a successful adult, and I have a family of my own. I am so grateful for the life I have, and I know that I wouldn't be where I am today without the lessons I learned at the orphanage.

I am so grateful for the time I spent at the orphanage. It was a difficult experience, but it also taught me some of the most important lessons of my life.
